Don’t Let This Happen To Your Website
I just received an email from a previous client that looked like an all too familiar email. Here is a short snippet of the email:

To make a long story short, I built the website for the client about a year ago. Although happy with the finished project design, the client decided not to take me up on our web maintenance package. This happens all too often with clients that either think they have the time themselves for web updates, or they think their website is something that you should “set and forget”. I always encourage our website clients to take us up on our monthly website maintenance package. For a small monthly subscription, we will monitor the website monthly. We install security updates, make sure all plugins are up to speed and switch out images and content. All these things are included. Yet time after time, the customer doesn’t want the monthly expense.
The truth is, the cost of NOT having some type of maintenance on your website is larger than the overall cost of the maintenance itself. Your website is not something that should be stagnant. Browsers update, changing the display of your website. Hackers are constantly attempting to hack your website to spam, phish or get information. Content needs to be fresh and updated for Google to rank and keep traffic coming to your site. Trends change and designs become outdated with the times. It just simply makes sense to have someone watching your website.
